BEWARE of phony phishing attempts and phone calls to obtain personal information.  DO NOT respond to any attempts requesting personal information, passwords, account numbers, card numbers, etc.   DO NOT respond to any emails you may receive requesting that you call a certain number to reactivate your card.  NEVER EVER GIVE INFO TO UNKNOWN SOURCES!   Always call the credit union using phone numbers you know are our correct numbers.

 


 

 
 There are currently fraudulent emails circulating that appear to be from the Credit Union National Association (CUNA), the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA), or Visa  asking for personal information.  Please contact us at 800-845-1745 extension 209 if you should receive one of these emails.  These emails are fradulent and are a "phishing scam".  Please delete them.  Do not open or respond to them.   The NCUA has set up a special site that emails erroneouly using their name should be forwarded.  Call us for more information.  

AgFirst FCU will NEVER send emails requesting your user name, social security number, password, PIN, or other personal identification information.  Neither will ANY of the above.


What makes this Credit Union different from other financial institutions or even other credit unions?

When AgFirst Federal Credit Union was first organized  in 1934 it was called the Columbia F.C.E. Federal Credit Union and issued charter number 81.  One of the earliest chartered credit unions in the nation.  We changed our name to AgFirst Federal Credit Union in 1995.  We only serve 2 select employee groups ("segs").  Employees of AgFirst Farm Credit Bank, its affiliates and its retirees and members of the South Carolina Independent School Association.  We are not a community charter credit union.  Our membership is drawn only from the two groups mentioned above or their family members.   With such a small employee group to draw from, where do you think you would get better service - a Big Bank or community financial institution where anyone can join or us - YOUR Credit Union, dedicated to serving only you??!!!
