Eligibility
Persons employed by AgFirst Farm Credit Bank or its affiliates, retirees of AgFirst Farm Credit Bank or its affiliates, or members of the South Carolina Independent School Association are eligible for membership. A member’s spouse, children, parents, siblings, grandparents, and grandchildren (natural, adopted, foster or step) may also become members. Once your family members have joined, their family members may also become eligible. Family members are entitled to full membership privileges after joining. Family members can retain their membership even in the event your account is closed.
Membership Qualifications
To qualify for membership, you must be eligible through one of the ways listed above and maintain a $25 share (savings) account balance at all times. Once your account is opened, you and your family may remain active members for life no matter where you later work. Even if you leave the employer that qualified you for membership, you’re still a member and entitled to all the same benefits as other members.
How can my company sign up so I can become a member?
If you think your company would like to become a “select employee group” (or “SEG”), so that membership with us would be available for all employees, just contact AgFirst Federal Credit Union at 803-753-2209.
Companies that offer Credit Union membership are actually offering their employees an excellent additional benefit that costs the company NOTHING. Membership allows the employees to possibly get lower rates on loans, higher rates on savings, and many other services at lower fees that they may find elsewhere.
